Payment Methods
Our preferred payment method is PayPal®. We also accept U.S. Postal money orders, and of course we accept cash for local pickup orders only. All payments must clear before any shipments will be scheduled.
Shipping
Shipping is all Next Day air, through UPS, (www.shipyourreptiles.com) or FedEx. Shipping is priced depending on location. Shipping on all orders over $300 is free. All packaging is included with shipping cost including hot or cold packs if needed. A shipment will not be sent without conformation that there will be someone at the designated shipping address to receive the package. Shipping days are Monday-Wednessday, no exceptions. We only ship with temperatures between 40°F and 85°F. If the temperatures are above or below those, we will hold your gecko until the temperature permits shipping and care for it as normal with no extra cost to you.
Live Animal Guarantee
Live arrival is guaranteed, assuming the following two conditions. First, the temperatures have to be safe for the entire duration of the shipment. Heat and cold packs will be provided at no extra charge, so be sure to let us know if one will be needed for your area at the time shipment. The second condition is someone must be present at the designated shipping address for the FIRST delivery attempt. If no one is present at the designated shipping
address at the designated delivery time, the live arrival guarantee is void. Safe shipping temperatures are always at OUR discretion and we may choose to not ship your animal at any time if we feel it is unsafe. This is not to make things harder on you, but we'd rather you wait a few more days then receive a dead animal. Unfortunately, we cannot be held responsible for any sort of damages incurred as a result of an incorrect address, delays, or rough treatment by UPS or FedEx. There is a small amount of risk that must be taken when anyone purchases any reptile from
any online store. That being said these cases rarely occur, so it's not something to worry about.
Death Upon Arrival
In the rare case you receive an animal that had perished during shipment, ExoticLeeCrested must be contacted via phone (voice mail message if necessary) or email within 2 hours of the shipment being delivered. Photographic proof will be required in all cases. At our discretion we may require the expired animal be returned to us, at your expense. Once our investigation is complete; compensation will be issued in the form of either a comparable replacement
animal, or store credit. Cash refunds will not be given under any circumstances.
Tails
We do not, on any circumstances, offer a guarantee on gecko tails for a few reasons. The first reason being that geckos drop their tales sometimes for no reason at all. For two, crested geckos not having a tail does not decrease the value of the animal. Third, adult crested geckos in the wild rarely if ever still have their tail, because of this they have not evolved to live with an adult sized tail. An adult's tail can actually lead to other health problems such as Floppy Tail Syndrome (FTS); due to the fact that their bodies are not built to support the weight. That being said, many people do prefer geckos with tails intact, so we try our best to correctly portray the animal being sold. We update the site regularly, including photos, so if a available gecko suffers the loss of tail, we update that photo to show the same gecko in its recent state. For the time being, most of our geckos are very young, so because of this, most of our geckos have their tails, so this is usually not an issue.
Sexing Policy
Most of the geckos we sale our listed as unsexed which means it's too soon to tell, or probable male/female which means we are quite sure, but do not guarentee that sex just yet. However, we do, occasionally sell an animal sexed as Male or Female which means we do guarentee that sex. If you buy a gecko from us with guarenteed sex and it turns out to be the opposite, then you must safely ship (or, in local cases, bring back) that gecko back to us, within 2 weeks of the original delivery date, on your expense, and we will decide for ourselves if you were correct. If you prove to be right, we will ship another gecko of equal value, on our expense, or give you store credit. If you were wrong, and want that gecko back, again, it will be shipped at your expense, but if you just decide you do not want it, no refund at all will be given.
Layaway
Here at ExoticLeeCrested, we understand that everyone is not full of money. We understand, from having done it ourselves, may see a gecko they like and want to buy it before someone else snatches it up but may not have the full amount at that time. We will hold any available gecko for a 25% down payment. Depending on the original price, and at our descrepentcy, we will decide how long you have to pay it off. If the full amount is not made with in that time frame, the gecko will become available again and no refund will be issued. We will not ship the animal until the full amount is payed.
Local Pickup
We are always happy to do local pickup orders. If you would like to see the geckos in person to pick one out, you must first email us to schedule an apointment. If you find a gecko you would like to purchase online but want to pick it up, it is in your best interest to pay for the gecko first, to ensure that gecko does not get sold before we can schedule the pickup. If you purchase a gecko but are not able to pick it up right away, we will hold that gecko for up to three weeks, longer if otherwise discussed, and care for it as usual with no extra cost to you. If you do not pick up the gecko by the scheduled pick up date or need to change the date and/or time of pickup but fail to contact me to reschedule, IN ADVANCE, that gecko will again become available. We do understand that things do happen and sometimes things may be out of your hand. We will work with you as long as you keep us updated and contact us in a timely fashion about anything that may come up.
